- Priced by
- per appliance — a call-out covers one, not everything in the kitchen
- What moves it
- how many appliances are actually being looked at; integrated or built-in units have to come out of the housing before anyone can start, which adds time to every job; the age of the machine and whether parts are still available; and an error code usually means the part is known before the visit, while an intermittent fault does not
So that the price is for your job rather than an average, you'll be asked about:
What appliance is it — type, brand and roughly how old?
What's it doing (or not doing), and does it show an error code?
Is it still under warranty or a service plan?
Is it integrated/built-in or freestanding (that changes access and time)?
A photo helps more than anything else — it means the price is for your actual job rather than an average, and it saves the provider a wasted visit.
How our pricing works — what every price is built from, and why the same job costs the same for everyone.
How booking appliance repair works
This is work people usually need sorting quickly, so it goes out to available providers near you straight away rather than waiting for a diary slot.
The price is set before you book
We work the price out from real market rates for the work, and you see one figure before you commit to anything — not a spread, and not a number that moves once someone is standing in your hallway.
The same job costs the same for everyone
Providers can accept the work or decline it, but they cannot change the rate. Nobody is quietly paying more than their neighbour for the same job, and there is nothing to haggle over.
Your money is held securely by Stripe
Payment is taken by card and held securely by Stripe. Nothing reaches the provider until the job is done and you have confirmed it.
After the work is done
When the provider marks the job complete, you have 23 hours to look it over and either confirm it or tell us something is not right. We say clearly when that window opens and when it closes. If you do not say anything before it closes, the payment releases to the provider automatically.
If something is wrong, raise it from your booking page inside that window. We will look at the record and help you and the provider find a way forward — and your payment stays put while that happens.
