SigeByte started in April 2026. Not in an office. Not with a team or a funding round. Just one person in Gloucestershire who thought the way local services work could be a lot fairer — and decided to do something about it.
Four months of evenings, weekends, and stolen lunch breaks later — April to July 2026 — this is what that belief looks like. No venture capital. No investors. No “disruption” narrative. Just a genuine conviction that customers deserve to know what they'll pay before they commit, and that providers deserve a platform that works for them — not one that extracts from them.

Fair pricing
Wilbert works out a price from our published price list for the job you describe. Providers can't inflate quotes. You see what you'll pay before you commit — no surprises.
Verified providers
Identity checked and qualifications verified against the official registers where the law requires them. Providers agree in our Terms to hold public liability insurance. We don’t check certificates at launch, so ask your provider if it matters for your job.
Payment protection
Payment goes to your provider when you confirm the job is done, or at the end of your booking’s confirmation window if you don’t report a problem. If something goes wrong, we're here to help you and your provider sort it out.
We only earn when
the job is done.
We take 15% of each completed job, deducted before your share is released. No sign-up fee, no lead fees, nothing for quoting.
If the job doesn't happen, we don't charge. It's that simple.
